Since 2011 Daniela Gruber is the deputy managing director of the Imre Kertész Kolleg. Her main responsibility lies with the financial and HR management of the Kolleg, the organisation of (international) conferences and workshops as well as public relations.
Prior to her position at the Kolleg, she was the assistant to the dean of the department of Social Work at the Jena University of Applied Science. She received her master’s degree in Political Science, English Literature Studies and Intercultural Business Communication in 2009 at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. From 2003 until 2004 she studied Political Science at the University of Århus, Denmark. During her studies in Jena she has been the student assistant and tutor at the Institute for Slavic Studies in the Department of Southeastern European Studies and the student assistant for the German Research Foundation´s Research Training Group 1412 on "Cultural Orientations and Institutional Order in Southeastern Europe".
