Katrin Stoll has been at the Imre Kertész Kolleg since October 2019. She is a Holocaust scholar who also translates texts by Elżbieta Janicka on the post-ghetto space in Warsaw into English.
She has organized several international conferences on the Holocaust and its legacies. She is a member of the PREMEC research group “Early Modes of Writing the Shoah: Practices of Knowledge and Textual Practices of Jewish Survivors in Europe (1942–1965)“.  As a member of this group she retrieved and safeguarded the Nachman Blumental Collection at the UBC in Vancouver in 2018 and ensured that 32 boxes containing Holocaust-related material were shipped to the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research in New York.  Katrin is particularly interested in the knowledge production of survivor scholars and in the ways they reconstructed the past.

Katrin Stoll was working at the German Historical Institute in Warsaw for many years, first as a research fellow (from 2010-2013), then (from 2015-2018) as a member of the research group “Functionality of History in Late Modernity”. In 2008, she received her PhD from the University of Bielefeld for a thesis on the so-called Bielefeld Białystok Trial (1965–1967).
